Over the next 20 weeks I will be writing a series of articles entitled 100 Healing Tips for Personal Transformation and Upliftment that I intend to turn into an expanded book on the subject. Some of these tips are powerfully life enhancing and are truly meant to be practices for soul growth. I call these areas of life mastery that we are here to recall. I’ll point these out along the way. Ideally these are the keys for living an enlightened, joyful life of abundance. The other tips will be what I call uplifting actions that will open the passage way for new beginnings. They are ways to “reach for relief” when times are tough as I learned from the teachings of Abraham–a wise group of non-physical Beings who speak through the conscious channel Ester Hicks. You can find out more about their teachings by visiting their website www.Abraham-Hicks.com. When we take action in a mindful way that attends to our truest needs, we always feel relieved. Actions that “reach for relief,” or thinking that lightens our spirits, all fall in the category of soul re-alignment.
It is my wish that you will attract to you the Healing Tips or inspired actions that will guide you in your journey of transformation. Keep in mind that these are tips that feel good to me and that I feel are life enhancing when taken in moderation. Your greatest resource is always inside of you, so always follow what feels good to you until a solution arises within you. Remember not to escape your problems through this feeling good, but use these tools to come back to a more relaxed, calm you so you can then focus your attention on the solution. All solutions lie within and you have the power to access them. I’ve grown to appreciate these healing methods as my ways of revealing that which is most beneficial for me to act upon, move toward or embrace in my journey. The bottom line is that life is a journey to be explored, so have fun exploring these tips and listen to your guidance in all that you embark upon and experience.
Article 5: 100 Healing Tips for Personal Transformation and Upliftment
21. Take a Walk Out in Nature
There is nothing more rejuvenating then taking a walk out in nature especially when the weather is good and the sun is shining. We are intricately tied to Mother Earth as human beings. We actually have a chakra called the Earth Star that is located beneath our feet and it helps to ground us to this plane of existence but also acts as a gateway for Mother Earth to nurture us. Taking a walk outside, especially with the intent for Mother Earth and your Source Self to nurture you, can do wonders for you body, mind and Spirit. I find that my nature walks help me to come back to a homeostasis when I’m feeling less than happy or content. There’s something about the symphony of sound that nature provides that soothes and uplifts me. I personally love the trees, animals and birds. We literally are surrounded by the Joy of the Omniverse!
I love to look at the beauty of my surroundings and just walk with a smile on my face. Of course, I do my best to set my intentions before and during my walk, to have a pleasant walk and to feel refreshed by my walk. I believe that Mother Earth wants to nurture us and that our electromagnetic fields that surround our physical body need these energetic tunes ups. We also need the Sun in order to produce vitamin D in our bodies which supports the immune, nervous and glandular systems as well as other bodily systems. Let’s face it, moving your chi or life force everyday is important in maintaining a vital body and mind. In addition to this, depending on where you live, the fresh air is very important to our lungs, brains and tissue. I recommend that you try this intentional walking in nature and make it a habit for life.
22. Take a Class that Thrills You
Feeding our mind is a wonderful thing but feeding our Soul is even more wonderful. If you come across a class that just thrills you to think about taking, then please follow this guidance from your Soul. When instantaneous emotions arise while thinking about something, they are coming from your Heart, your Source Self. Your Soul knows what is most important to heal you, open you up to love, point you on your path of least resistance and expand your horizons. Take that leap of faith and sign up for that class. It can only lead to good things for you. Learning is a wonderful journey that takes us outside our box sometimes. Through the learning and practice of what we are learning, we often gain access to parts of our self that we’ve been denying, hiding or keeping at bay until appropriate times. When you feel excited to attend a class, this is a spiritual calling that is in Divine timing. If you don’t have the means to take the class, trust that the Universe, God, Goddess–whatever you choose to call it–will provide the how for you. Pray about it, visualize yourself there and then let go of the outcome. Trust and allow! The road will be there.
23. Be Creative–Let Your Inner Artist Out!
Some people feel that they don’t have a creative bone in there body. Well that’s just false. We all have an inner creative part of us that likes to let go and play in this way. You don’t have to be an extraordinary artist to have fun with this. Nowadays there are all kinds of ways for adults to attend to their Soul’s passion to create. Some of the more popular ones right now are coloring books for adults, painting classes for groups, pottery painting stores, scrap booking, knitting groups, writing clubs and the list goes on. I decided recently that I’m going to invite my girlfriends over for a Create a Silly Hat Party. I’ll serve appetizers and tea and have everyone bring their own supplies. We’ll create our hats then model them for a prize. It’s a great way to share our creative flow in joyful ways.
Creativity of this sort, also helps to balance your second chakra which is the center of your creative flow, emotions and vitality as well as other things. Creative endeavors like these also help you to get in touch with parts of yourself that are innocent, provocative, insightful and so much more. Being creative helps your inner child to guide you back home to your heart. Drawing, writing, crafting etc can be very healing as it taps into the intrinsic nature of our Divinity–innocence, inspiration, joy, harmony etc. Also, when we tap into our inner artist, we actually tap into our right brain activity which makes it easier for us to receive inspiration from our Higher Power. I believe with all my heart, we are meant to have fun in life! So let go and get into creative flow!
24. Dance Your Spirit!
I once attended an event given by Sonia Choquette, an author of many books about spiritual growth and intuition. One of the things she would do during the event at various times was to shout “Dance your Spirit!”. When she said this we were to get up out of our chairs and dance to the music they provided. It was a wonderful way to let your Spirit take over, to move some energy and also to have fun. It of course kept us alert through out the event as exercise moves the prana or Life Force and helps the brain stay awake and alert. Dancing is one of those creative endeavors that really feeds your Spirit especially if you can allow yourself to be uninhibited.
Music and movement together has been a time honored way of gathering people together to celebrate life but also was used in sacred ceremonies. I believe that our Spirit loves to dance and the sillier the better. If we can get out of our heads and into our hearts and the rest of our body while dancing, we could have a rather ecstatic and/or joyful experience dancing. At a minimum, exercise is proven to be a mood regulator due to the anti-stress hormones that are released. Couple this with wonderful, enjoyable music that taps into the right brain and you have a one-two punch that assist you in raising your vibration. Anything that raises your vibration will put you back into alignment with your heart and soul, and this is always healing. If you’re still shy to do this in public, I recommend that you try some Nia or other dance type DVD’s and dance at home. However, take a leap of faith from time to time and go with a friend to a Zumba® or belly dancing class. You might have a good laugh and really enjoy the energy of the group while making life a full body experience.
25. De-Clutter Your Environment
The environment around us is the perfect reflect of our inner environment. I tend to be very sensitive to my physical environment and it’s always a reflection of when something is out of control in my life. I grew up in an atmosphere that had a lot of emotional chaos and dysfunction. I also lived in some very unclean circumstances due to this dysfunction and because I am highly empathic, the energy of clutter just bothers me. It’s like static cling. Now I believe that we are all empathic beings but some of us are just born more highly attuned to emotions and energy for the purpose of understanding our psychic abilities in a more refined, balanced way. Regardless of your level of empathic awareness, clutter can energetically weigh anyone down. I’ve always felt that when we bring order to a chaotic environment, it’s like a big sigh of relief. For this reason, I recommend that you take it slow and steady as it can feel like a detox at times.
When I de-clutter my closet, I feel myself shedding pounds of the past and releasing the static cling of emotional baggage and even the lies that I told myself (like this will fit me one day or I might wear that when I go to the beach etc). Through my experience with de-cluttering and extreme sensitivity, I’ve found that tending to our physical environment can also tend to our inner environment. Moving through the emotions that you’ve stuffed about that pile, messy closet, mildewy shower etc is most important while de-cluttering. If thoughts and emotions come up, move through them with grace and forgiveness. Be aware of what you’ve stuffed away as it served a purpose to protect you for some time. Let it go, bless it for what it teaches you and start anew.
